This collaboration in trio format interprets standards of American jazz, revisits the black spirituals and gospels and covers current melodies passed through the jazz language, always looking for a calm and intimate atmosphere, and relying on the voice as the protagonist.
His repertoire contains classic themes from Cole Porter or Frank Sinatra to contemporary songs, and is full of swing, bossa-nova, French songs performed with the personality that these three long-time musicians give them.
They also have a repertoire of American Christmas songs to offer «Galas and Christmas time recitals. Last outstanding concerts in the castle of Peralada for the Christmas gala 2019 and recently in the auditorium of Llinars del vallés in a gospel and jazz program.
JAUME VILASECA. Pianist. Composer.
He studied piano and harmony at the Municipal Conservatory of Barcelona and at the Liceu. He completes his training with courses and seminars at the Taller de Músics and Esmuc.
1992-2002: he works as a pianist in different jazz, fusion, and Brazilian music formations, leaving his mark in numerous live performances and in very relevant record works.
2002-2008: first major record works with different artists such as Makaroff (18 Chulos), Bossanovando (Subterfuge) or with the jazz singer Anna Luna, “Spring is here” (New Mood Jazz), “Sketches” (New Mood Jazz) ) and “Femenina” (Quadrant Records).
2008-2014: she publishes her first album leading a jazz fusion quartet, “Here and there” (Discmedi), with rhythms and melodies close to Latin music and flamenco.
2014-2020: continues to collaborate with numerous artists such as Karen Souza In 2020 a documentary about the project and the group directed by Nando Caballero will be released. He is currently a professor at the School of Modern Music of the Liceo Conservatory and combines his pedagogical activity with his project “Jaume Vilaseca Trío” and with different artistic proposals.

Degree in Jazz from the ESMUC (Higher School of Music of Catalonia) with a Higher Degree in Music – Jazz specialty. He began his jazz and harmony studies at the Aula de Música Moderna and complemented them at the Taller de Músics de Barcelona.
He has played with Olga Guillot, Sheila Jordan, Lluís Llach, María del Mar Bonet, Manolo García, the Eurovision Song Contest Beth, Pablo Carbonell, Karen Souza, Marina Rossell, Silvia Comes, José Luís Gámez, Laura Simó, Max Sunyer, the Big Band of the Taller de Músics i la del Maresme, the Jimmy Jenks Trío, the Enildo Rasúa Quintet, the Francesc Capella Trío, the Jaume Vilaseca Quartet, Djangology, La Salseta del Poble Sec, Coyote Dax, Nena Daconte, La Banda d’en Vinaixa, Miquel Gil and the Trío de Manel Camp, El Fill del Mestre and others.
He participated in the recording of the CD “World Songs” of the JaumeVilaseca Quartet, nominated for the 2006 Grammy Awards for Best Latin Jazz Album.
He was a Finalist for the Max Performing Arts Awards in 2018 in the category of best musical show with “Cabareta” and in 2019 as a member of the musical “Els Jocs Florals de Canprosa”.
He has recorded more than thirty albums, among others with Lluís Llach, Silvia Comes and Lidia Pujol, Nena Daconte, La Salseta, Jaume Vilaseca Trío y Quartet, Cristo Fontecilla Quartet, Quim Abramo Quartet, Cotton Club Big Band etc.
He has participated repeatedly in International Jazz Festivals such and He has been President of the Association of Jazz Musics and Modern Music of Catalonia between 2012 and 2016.
